Drop it like it’s hot.

In Japan, Appaloosa has one of the few authentic AC Schnitzer CLS I left in the world. As rare as this car is, they used it as it was intended. The car was tracked, and tracked hard. The chassis was stiffened, a roll cage was welded in and the motor was even rebuilt numerous times, currently using an IDING Power camshafts. The rear bumper was also modified to integrate a rear diffuser to aid in the stability during high speed runs while some carbon fiber canards added in the front bumper for traction on corners.

This car is currently for sale. Anyone who buys this isn’t only getting a CLS I but also the craftmanship of the Appaloosa team. This car will also come with 2 sets of wheels. For anyone interested, contact Appaloosa.

Here are more of my favorite “Murdered out” rides. In this post, I’ll focus on Gemballa’s rides.

Gemballa Mirage GT based on the Porsche 980 Carrera GT.

Gemballa Avalanche GT600 based on the Porsche 911 Turbo Convertible (997).

Gemballa 750GT Aero based on the Porsche Cayenne Turbo.

And the group shot.

More to come. Stay tuned.

Congrats to BMW for taking the award again - 4 years in a row!!

The N64 motor took the overall International Engine of the Year. This is the same motor found on the 135, 335 and 535 BMW.

The V8 motor found on the latest E92 M3 took the 3-4 liter category.

The V10 motor found on the latest E60 M5 took the 4 liter and above category.

Here is the info from MotorAuthority:

BMW has been named the outright winner of the International Engine of the Year awards for a record-breaking fourth year in succession. A global panel of judges awarded the top honor to the carmaker’s 3.0L twin-turbo straight six petrol engine. The 300hp powerplant is found in a number of BMW models ranging from the compact 1-series up to the X6 xDrive35i crossover and was picked becuase of its flexibility and mix of performance and fuel-economy.

BMW in fact had four different engines in the final top six. Coming in second was Volkswagen’s 1.4L TSI and third place was its 2.0L FSI engine. The 4.0L V8 from the M3 took fourth spot and was followed by the Mini’s 1.6L turbo four in fifth and the 5.0L M V10 in sixth.

The awards, which are judged by 65 motoring journalists from 32 countries from four continents, also rewarded a variety of other manufacturers for engine excellence across a number of different categories with the likes of VW, Toyota, Porsche and Subaru all getting a mention.

It’s kinda cool seeing full blown racecars rolling around the streets. Completely out of the ordinary and not in their usual habitat.

Not a fullblown race car but just as cool.

Check out this drag car. Better take it easy on turns.

Here are couple of original art from Action Comics issue 858 - Superman and the Legion of Super-Heroes.

These were pencilled by Gary Frank and inked by yours truly.

Here is page 3 - the opening shot with a big Superman splash page.

Here is page 10 - a key page is this issue showing Superman changing from Clark Kent suit to the Superman suit.

Both pages are for sale. Please email me at jonsibal@cox.net for serious inquiries.

Browsing through some pictures from Bimmerfest over the weekend, I came across this picture.

Seems like times have change since Wheel Power handled Hamann. Is this really the new HAMANN USA??

On another note, check out this latest wheel from Hamann, as seen from the Studie AG Japan website. Nice satin finish, and the spokes is reminiscent of the Alpina wheels.

Cool, but I think the PG is still their best wheel with step lip, then maybe the PG3. I wonder if we can fit the PG3 on my project MK5… hmmm ;)

Great shot of a Ferrari 430 Scuderia. Not sure what the actual color is but it suits the car perfectly.
