Ferrari 430 Scuderia Spyder

7 September 2008 No Comment

Ferrari 430 Scuderia is the stripped down version of the F430 to say the least. The uncompromising model is all raw and race bred. From the racing bucket seats complete with harnesses to the updated aero parts, it’s all business. Even Michael Schumacher was involved in the development of this lightweight track day car which is said to be “almost” as fast as the Enzo.

But there are rumors that Ferrari will be releasing a convertible 430 Scuderia which might be labeled as the 430 Scuderia Spyder. Not sure if the extra weight of the ragtop assembly in addition to all the extra chassis reinforcement is a good idea as it defeats the purpose and principle of the lightweight model. But any car over 400whp in the streets doesn’t make sense either so I guess it’s all good.

In any case, I did 3 renderings of the topless models.

Here you go:

And here’s the last one. Thanks for the base Kirby!

Design notes:
These renderings were relatively simple as I just made sure that all the distinctive 430 Scuderia markings were applied to the Spyder version – ie. front and rear bumpers with updated diffusers, rocker panels, rear engine vent panel, wheels, emblem and that $8,000 stripe. Also some details were applied like the Scuderia seats and cf side mirrors to stay true to the model.
