Super GT Z4

15 September 2008 No Comment

My buddy Jay beat me with this post but what the hey, here it is anyways haha.

Japanese BMW tuner – Studie AG teamed up with GLAD and ASADA Racing to build this Super GT Z4 racecar to compete in 2008 Autobacs Super GT series making their debut in Round 6 held in Suzuka Pokka spanning 1000km. The GT300 Z4 Coupe wears a pure dry carbon fiber body kit directly from BMW Motorsport. Studie also built two Z4s with using this aero kit but used as a shop display cars / part time circuit cars.

The whole car is full Super GT spec but the most unique part is the anime graphics splattered all around the car. With the vinyl wrap being widely used in motorsports, a lot of teams are opting with this technique to give their racecars some identity beyond just the typical 2-3 color livery. And with this Studie/GLAD and Asada Racing team’s Super GT contender, you can see that you can get pretty creative and wild with your graphics.

No idea which anime character they used but wouldn’t it be funny to see race queens replaced by cosplayers..lol
