WIDEBODY Z34

2 February 2009 9 Comments

I’m pretty sure that the Nissan 370Z will be favored by many aftermarket body kit tuners with various add-on parts starting to become available for it. Sooner or later we’ll see some widebody conversions too. Nothing exists at the moment so I thought I do a rendering of how one might look like.

When designing the kit, I wanted to make it “buildable”. It’s easy to get carried away with all the exterior mods digitally but sometimes it’s a good challenge to hold back and just concentrate on designing something that a skilled builder can recreate in reality. I also wanted to preserve as much as I can the original look of the car by just giving it a wider stance.

The kit is composed of:
-Widebody full replacement front fenders
-Widebody rear quarter panel fenders

-Widebody sideskirts with CF inserts
-Widebody front bumper
-Widebody rear bumper
-Carbon Fiber Cannards
-Carbon Fiber front lip
-Carbon fiber vented hood
-Carbon Fiber GT wing

If anyone wants to build this car, please contact me. ;)

I’m lovin that wide kit. Very subtle yet the ‘I’m wide, get outta my way’ stance is bold. Nice!

I have a blue z34 just begging for that kit. I’m a huge fan of your work and would be ecstatic to have a kit like that for my baby. If you knew someone willing to build it I’d happily offer up my Z as the test platform. :)

Seriously keep up the amazing work man. Truly inspiring.

    Thanks Michael.

I’m working with ASUKA Design to produce a body kit for the Z34. I’ll post more info when it’s safe. Where are you located?

Excited to see what you come up with. I’m in bright and sunny Portland, OR. A bit north of most of the scene.

I really like your 370Z drawing!

Please let me know if you have any success with ASUKA Design to bring a body kit out similar to your drawing.

Is there any news you can share at this point regarding the status of the kit?

    Thanks
