Comic book work
It’s been a while since I’ve posted any of my comic book work so here’s a quick glimpse on my life as a comic book artist.
For the past month or so, I’ve been chained down to my drawing table inking the 2 titles that I’m on – Superman and Supergirl for DC COMICS.
It’s 3:40 in the morning and I just finished inking issue #43 of Supergirl. It’s been cool working with Jamal Igle on this series. Hope you guys pick it up when it comes out on July 22nd in time for San Diego Comic Con. I think we’ll be doing a signing in the DC booth if everything goes well.

Things are going well for Supergirl – she’s back on New Krypton, and she’s even managing to patch things up with her mother, Alura. But when she goes to visit her older cousin, Superman warns her that not all is as it seems in the House of El…Setting the stage for next month’s crossover event in the SUPERMAN books!
Along with Supergirl, I also finished issue 1 of Secret Origins of Superman. A typical issue is about 22 pages. But the first issue for this book though is 48 pages! I’ve done some detailed work in the past but the pages in this issue just surpassed anything I’ve done before. I wish I can post some of the pages here now but I gotta wait till Sept. 28 for it to be released. It’s a six-issue mini series written by Geoff Johns and pencilled by Gary Frank. Probablly my best work to date. A true labor of love right here.

Hot on the heels of their acclaimed run on ACTION COMICS, superstars Geoff Johns and Gary Frank reunite to present a 6-issue event that spells out the definitive origin of Superman for the 21st century – and it all starts with a gigantic 48-page issue! Chronicling Clark Kent’s journey from the cornfields of Smallville to the skyscrapers of Metropolis, you’ll witness a whole new look at the beginnings of Lex Luthor, the Legion of Super-Heroes, Lois Lane, Metallo, Jimmy Olsen, the Parasite and more! It’s a look at the mythic past of the Man of Steel with an eye toward the future!
And some graphic novels I’ve worked on currently available:

Superman and the Legion of Super-Heroes – 168pg. – Hardcover – $24.99 US

Superman: Braniac – 128pg. – Hardcover – $19.99 US

Superman: New Krypton vol.1 – 176pg. – Hardcover – $24.99 US
In the middle of all these books for DC, I also helped out on Marvel books like the Dark Avenger/X-MEN inking over Marc Silvestri. And now I gotta jump on 3 pages of Sinister Spiderman #2 inking over Chris Bachalo. And back to DC Comics to ink SUPERMAN: Secret Files. All needed to be done by this wed.
And oh yeah there’s couple of Automotive rendering due next week as well. HELP!
No rest for the wicked.
