The Fallen

We went to go see the Transformers – Revenge of the Fallen yesterday. There are no spoilers in this post so all safe if you still haven’t seen it. This is just my basic consumer impression.

There were definitely a lot of great things about this movie. For one, there were tons more robots – maybe too much as some only made a quick appearance and died right away. The robots were also easier to see in this movie without too much extreme close up camera shots. Their animation was fluid and transformed a lot clearly making the fight scenes so much better.

The story was good but the story-telling dragged a bit. There were some scenes that should’ve been just left in the editing floor. There were some genuinely funny moments but some of the humor and dialogue were a little too “junior high” for me (at least it feels like it was directed to that market), especially with the “twins” which annoyed me to no end.

I didn’t have that high of an expectation going into this movie but I still left the theater feeling ehh. It’s not as bad as what the reviews have said and still worth getting the dvd. But if you are gonna see the movie, go see it for the entertainment – nothing else.

I would love to see Jerry Bruckheimer’s version of this series in the future as well as seeing a variety of car manufacturers featured instead of just a single brand. Imagine a BMW Transformer!

I am going to see this Sat at the IMAX its 7mins longer… Bay said the twins were put in there for the kids to have some laughs what i have heard from them so far them seem funny but will find out Sat… I love the 1st one to me its one of the best comic book movies out there besides Iron Man and I personally like Hell Boy the rest of the comic books movies i dont like. Everyone has there own taste and thanks for sharing your input.

The twins werent so bad. While I watched it I was afraid of another JarJar but they werent in there so much so I guess its ok. That being said, the movie would’ve still been great if they werent in there. They could’ve cut out a lot of the human stuff but all in all I thought it was awesome.

I saw the movie this morning… I dont understand why so many people dont like the Twins I like them so did my daughter & gf and it seems like all the other kids that were there like them too… I think the computer guy/roommate could have been left out & Megan Fox from this one… I also thought it suck that Prime killed Fallen so fast & wish Prime kept Jetfire parts but all in all I like the movie… I just hope in the next one we get nothing but the Robots fighting & in space like Shia said mite happen in the next one.
