Jagermeister with a Twist

14 September 2009 One Comment

Take a trip back with me circa early 90s when there were a lot of old school BMW E30 M3 race cars that roamed and roared the track back in the days like the DTM Worsteiner E30 M3, Jagermeister E30 M3, Diebels E30 M3, JPS E30 M3 and many others. These days, these cars are stored, displayed in museums, heated garages and fired up once in a while on special events.

So it’s kinda cool to see some of these cars replicated. Like they say, Imitation is the best form of flattery. And in that note, check out this good rep of the Jagermeister E30 M3.

To pull this off properly, the car was stripped down to the bare bones, reinforced the chassis and then the full race cage was welded in.

The car was then painted Phoeniz Orange then dropped on KWs rolling on some OG BBS wheels.

The interiors are all business – no cup holders, no navs, no ICE. Just whatever you need to go fast and stay fast and in control.

The OG Jagermeister E30 M3 are often imitated but never truly duplicated. True words there as the owner of this E30 M3 went a different route. All you BMW purists look away NOW!

Gone is the factory S14 and in it’s place….. Corvette LS1 V8 engine. A little twisted right but I kinda like it. The car puts down 421 bhp / 406 lbft of TQ matched to a 6 speed Tremek gearbox with a 3.46 final drive.

More engine bay details…

And with the car weighing only 2251 lbs, you can bet that this is a screamer.

somebody made a comment to me that the LS series motors are the new SR20DET. hehe. I think it’s starting to grow on everyone once they get over the initial gag reflex.
