Cultic Challenger

20 October 2009 3 Comments

From personal experience, being part of the Southern California Challengers crew, there is no doubt that the latest Dodge Challenger have a cult following. Since its introduction, I’ve seen many modded examples of it with the proud owners giving it their unique personal touch from custom wheels, custom paint (ahem), widebody, and blown HEMI engines.

Well here is a Dodge Challenger that did all those above.

This Challenger is owned by the owner of the CULT Energy drink. From what I read, this car was suppose to take part in that SPEED Channel’s reality show “Bullrun”.

The widebody was fabricated by TOPO. The car is painted matte black and rolling on sime custom Asanti wheels. There were some drama about the quality of body work done to it but now it is in the hands of Southern Hot Rod to complete the build.

The extra width is not the only thing that makes this car unique. It is the monstrous blown engine that was built for it by SHR.

The CULT Energy Challenger uses an Arrington 440 Stroker, 8.3L Whipple Blower (biggest Whipple blower possible), SHR NAG1 Tranny, Full Pedders Suspension, StopTech Brakes, Kooks Stepped Headers etc.

Shots of the blown Hemi installed:

Check out the tires.

Dialing in the suspension.

Video of it at idle.

Videos of it in motion.

I’m sure we’ll see this live at SEMA next month.

i’ve never been a big fan of asanti, also, they need to close that gap between the lip and the fender.
