Open Air fun

10 October 2009 2 Comments

I’ve come across numerous tracked Porsche 911 and they never cease to amaze me on the levels of set up and configuration the team and owners do to this model. From the Rauh Welt and the Sunburst Porsches in Japan, to the GT1 FIA GT racecar in Europe and everything in between, there are just endless possibilities on how this car can be set up properly for any specific series.

Here is another one of those that I found interesting.

This blue Porsche 911 was caught at a local car meet in Scottsdale Pavillions shot by the Desert-Motors Magazine.

Who needs the excess weight of a roof if you got the full cage and reinforced chassis.

This mod is actually a common place in the SCCA Runoffs series. So my best guess is that this beautiful open air 911 competes in that series. But enough chatter, here are the rest of the pics.
