DRAGSTAR

Back in May 2008, I posted a very interesting picture I found of a Mercedes Benz 300SL Gullwing dragster. Check it out here.
Well the car surfaced again in this year’s ESSEN Motor Show.

This old school benzo named “Dragstar” was built in Switzerland with a full fiberglass body clip modeled after the ’56 MB Gullwing. The engine that propels it is a 6.9 liter putting down a justifiable 1050 bhp.

Stefan Winter who pilots this bavarian rocket runs the quarter at a hair over 8 seconds utilizing a 3-speed auto gearbox and crosses the sensors at a blistering 166 mph.

Its not an original MB 300 Gullwing so everything is forgiven

I like the car and can honestly say that I have never viewed anything like it. I feel that the body work is very done at least from what I could see.
I also enjoyed the blonds peaking out.

That’s crazy. I remember saving the original picture you posted of that car.

My face did all sorts of funny things when I saw this. One of the coolest cars I have seen in a long time!
