Engine Block Party Part 2

20 December 2009 2 Comments

Typically the friday night gathering at Bob’s Big Boy restaurant starts at 5PM to 10PM. We were told to set up early and that we did. But just like any parties, the party started later when the sun went down.

During the evening, I saw couple of celebrity car guys roaming around checking out the festivities. Christopher Titus was there with his kids and also saw Chris Jacobs, host of Overhaulin wearing his Foose jacket snapping some pics of the Black Top challenger. Sorry no pics of these guys. I also saw Lorenzo Lamas dining inside Bob’s Big Boy. Only in LA.

A lot more cars rolled in from new and old school classic whips and most looked unique and interesting.

And then came in a flat gold widebody Challenger..

And who is that on the driver seat but no other than Mr Jay Leno himself.

Jay actually do not own this car but only helped unveiled the ride at the event. He does own a black 2008 SRT8 Challenger – the fourth one ever made in production.

This widebody chally is from Chopper Edition based in Nevada managed by Josh Townbin aka the King of Cars.

This challenger is not just widebody but also supercharged.

Here is Jay being interviewed by Dutch Mandel of AutoWeek.

In between the photos and interviews, Jay actually walked around saying hi to the kids and checking some of the cars from the SoCal Challenger crew. Super nice guy and really knows his mopar cars.

Random pics.

Shout out to Eric Munk, Mark Mallie from Dodge, Mark Mathies from AutoWeek Magazine. Also got to meet Samantha Thibault who was the person who actually set up the building process of my Challenger. Big props to the SCC crew for representing big time. All great people and certainly honored to be part of the great event.
