For those who are still not familar with Studie AG, they are the biggest BMW tuner in Japan. They’ve built tons of fine examples of well tuned BMWs. From street cars to full blown SuperGT racecar, they are on a league of their own.

Check out the flash intro to their site showing off some of the cars they’ve built.

Studie AG

I’ve seen that green widebody M Coupe in person last year and I can attest to the quality of their workmanship. They have four locations – Yokohama, Tokyo, Kobe and Sendai, all producing some really nice rides.
.

Well today, I got an email from my friend, Inomata-san, who works in Studie AG in Japan. He told me about this book that Studie is releasing in a couple of weeks. I got some exclusive info and photos and would like to share them with yall.

This book is called STUDIE STYLE das Foto. Basically with years of tuning and building BMWs, they’ve collected tons of high quality photographs and they’ve decided to compile the best ones into this photo book. The book is published through Gakken Mook which for those JDM aficionados who picks up Japanese books should know the quality of their publications.

Anyway, this book is 146-page thick filled with high quality photos from events like Asian Le Mans, 24 hr race in Nurburgring, and also the BMW tuning and Motorsport scene in Japan.

Here’s the cover:

And here are some sample pages from the book.

This is a WTCC spec widebody E90 built by them.

As an authorized distributor for AC Schnitzer, they get to build one-brand catalog cars like this MZ4 coupe.

These are just a couple of pages from their trip in the 24 hour race in the ‘ring.

Here is a page showing their very own SUPER GT Z4 racecar competing in the GT300 class.

And a shot of one of their garages.

Again, these are just a few pages from the 143 page photo book.

The official release date of this book is on December 17th – just in time for the holidays. At the moment, these are exclusive to Japan market only. But according to Inomata-san, if there are enough demands for it here in the states and else where, they’ll consider expanding their market for it.

They cost 3,000 yen ($34.17) if you live in Japan but expect to pay close to 8,000 yen ($91.00) with shipping included to US and Germany. Check with Amazon Japan too for a better deal just in case.

Here’s a quick promo video.

Whether you’re a fan of BMW, or simply appreciates automotive photography, this is a must buy.

If you are interested in purchasing this directly from Studie, their email is studie@studie.jp.
