I received a very cool present today from my friends at Studie AG in Japan. Inomata-san sent me a copy of their STUDIE STYLE das Foto book. It’s a collection of pictures of the cars they’ve built through the years, pictures of their very Super GT racecar, shots from the 24 hour of Nurburgring and many more. I’ve been wanting this ever since I found out about it and it’s awesome to have it in my hands now!!

After unwrapping the bubble wrap was a note from Inomata-san. If ever we get a chance to visit Japan, we gotta stop by Yokohoma to say thanks to and meet these guys in person.

The book still has that fresh-of-the-printer scent.

It has this cool Super GT Z4 wrap-around cover.

You can remove it and this is how it looks all spread out..

Even the back inside has a cool print of the side profile of the Studie/GLAD Super GT Z4 racecar. Typically inside back covers are just blanks.

It’s a 146-page thick filled with pictures like these… droool!

As far as my thoughts on this book, I spent some time looking at every page. The pictures are great as expected. There are many pictures here that I’ve not seen anywhere including Studie’s own site. There are also some great ads from Advan, Varis, BBS, 3D Design, etc. My favorite shots are from Ikkai Muranishi, Masakatsu Sato and Wataru Tamura. These guys have the most artistic dynamics shots which appeals to me very much. At the end of the book, there is also a picture collage of the BMW Familie event gathering, a nice touch to wrap up with a local scene that Studie is involve in.

The book is exclusive for Japanese market so it it’s printed in Japanese BUT also has a German text right below it if in case you are fluent in German. I’m not fluent in either but just with any of my japanese magazines, videos and books, I love looking at the pictures.
