Laid

8 February 2010 5 Comments

I’ve posted and seen many examples of cars dumped and laid on the ground either through air bags or coils but I’ve always turned off by the terrible and excessive camber it produces. One of my pet peeves on VIP cars. But then there are cars out there that actually address this issue but making sure that the camber are straight and true by reworking the inner fenders so you can tuck in the tires or better yet tuck in wheels looking all straight G.

This boosted Toyota Aristo aka Lexus GS is a good example of what I’m talking about.

Check out how low this car is. And better yet, no ridiculous negative camber.

The car is tucking in a very limited edition BBS LM DSK-P specifically made for the Nissan R35 GT-R. The sizes are 9.5×20 et+40 in the front and 10.5×20 et+20 in the rear. Serious money on this wheels.

The passenger fender features slots . Not sure if this is functional or not though.

The fenders were also widened by adding flares on all four corners.

Headlight got the blackout treatment with the Q45 conversion on the high beams.

Now onto the rear.

The rear bumper was modified so it can have the IS-F exhaust configuration. Nice update.

The trunk mounted tail lights were also shaved off. Great details and a well set up ride. Thumbs up from me.

I would probably be feelin’ it a bit more if the wheels had more of a VIP look.

i think those slots on the front fender are for fashion… if you look for it, a lot of jzx100 chasers do that on their front bumpers.

yeah that’s what I thought too but it threw me off when I noticed that it was done only on the passenger side.

yeah chasers do that only on one side of their front bumper too. i’m sure there is some reason why the trend started, i just dont know what it is.

Woulda been cooler if it had a vertex ridge aero. BBS wheels were meant to be put on “sporty” cars.
