All Suited up

5 March 2010 2 Comments

I’ve been keeping an eye out for the Honda HSV-010 GTs in the Super GT series. There are five of them competing this season. Through out this time, they’ve been out in Suzuka practicing and doing much needed shakedown runs to make sure everything is as it should.

While at the track, most of the HSV-010 GT wore their “test car” black finish with a small decal letting fans know which is which. The first team to show their full livery is the ARTA HSV-010 GT and then the KEIHIN HSV-010 GT followed.

But at the recent Suzuka practice, two more HSV-010 GT cars are showed up all suited up in full livery.

Check them all out in full battle gear.

First one is the #32 EPSON HSV-010 GT from Team NAKAJIMA RACING

The #18 DOME RACING HSV-010 GT came to the dress rehearsal in full livery showing off their primary sponsor Weider.

Team DOME Racing was the fastest HSV-010 GT out of the five today but only came in 5th overall.

To be honest, as much as I love these cars, I’m not feeling the livery designs one both of these. Even he KEIHIN HSV-010 GT with its solid blue color looked better.

The RAYBRIG HSV-010 GT is still teasing us though. Not sure if this is their final livery but it looked nothing like their previous livery on their NSX. But I’m def. excited to see it regardless.

The results of yesterday’s test posted the MOTUL AUTECH GT-r lapping at 1’54″140 followed by ENEOS SC40 at 1’54″337. Third fastest is the IMPUL GT-R at 1’54″632.

The HSV-010 GT came in 5th (DOME Racing), 8th (KEIHIN), 11th (EPSON), qwth (ARTA) and 13th (RAYBRIG).

That DOME RACING livery looks really, really ugly. Honestly, I like the Raybrig livery. The sharp lines on the graphics looks perfect with the flat black paint. But that’s just me.
