BMW E88 M cabrio
BMW is planning an M version of their 1 series model, no doubt about that. It was said that we will get to see the E82 coupe at the end of the year and the E88 cabrio following months later.
I’ve already done a speculative rendering of the M version of the E82 coupe which was posted in LLN. There were a lot of interest in seeing how I might perceive the rear end design to look like specially in the BMW community.
So with the E88 carbio rendering, which was done at the same time as the E82 coupe, I created a front quarter view and the rear quarter view..
Front Quarter view

This shot features:
-new redesigned front bumper exclusive to this M model
-resculpted Headlight bumper surrounds
-”power dome” hood buldge
-M side fender vent
-widebody front and rear fenders
-redesigned sideskirts
-18″ wheels
Rear Quarter view

In addition to what’s shown in the front quarter shot, this rear shot also features:
-new redesigned rear bumper exclusive to this M model
-Side bumper vent with single vent in the center and diffuser below it
-quad exhaust
-BMW Motorsport Control arms
-Finned differential covers
-integrated “ducktail” trunk spoiler
I also decided to add the classic “turbo” badge from the old BMW 2002 of the 70s. We still don’t know what BMW will call this M version of the 1 series but we know that it will not be called M1. So for now I put a “1M” badge in the mean time.
