BMW M3 GTS-R

7 June 2010 4 Comments

During the 24-hr of Nurburgring race last month, an info was leaked out regarding a more extreme version of the E92 M3 GTS..

The car is suppose to be a street version of the the successful M3 GT2 racecar which have been racing for the past couple of years.

So with this, I created a rendering of how this model might possibly look like.

What we know:
-A styling which pays tribute to the M3 GT2 racecar- basically a street version of the M3 GT2 racecar
-Wide front and rear fenders
-New redesigned front and rear bumper
-Front bumper features double lip with bigger side intakes
-Exhaust is similar to the M3 GTS
-Carbon fiber hood, roof and trunk
-Rear wing is the same as the one found in the M3 GTS
-Lightweight glass similar to the M3 GTS
-Interior is also similar to the M3 GTS
-more powerful V8 engine with DCT transmission and possibly might feature the incoming F10 M5 KERS regenerative braking and boost function
-Overall weight is lighter
-Wheels features a Y-shape 5 spoke design, more lightweight than the competition wheels
-Will be offered in Frozen Matte Black paint job.

We will probably won’t see this until the very end of the E92 M3 life cycle but we know that they are tuning the V8 engine currently which will power this special edition.

beautiful rendering – great detail… absolute LOVE the flat black finish. I’m sure that was pretty tough to pull off.

Love it Jon – has a lovely finish to it.

The car will be a monster if it does in-fact release

    Great work as always!
