Look out for flying wheels

I met Cory last year at Bimmerfest ‘07. He stopped by the booth and we chatted for a little bit. He’s a good guy with a lot of passion for his E36.
So today, Cory was driving in the freeway getting ready for this year’s Bimmerfest when all of a sudden, he saw a black object about 50-75 fet in the air. He looked around him to quickly change lanes but before he can do it, the freaking wheel landed on his car hitting him in the head and shoulder. …

Boost Junky from down under

Queen Street Racing of Australia is a bonafide BOOST JUNKY. Check out the turbo that they stuffed in their “Barb-B E36″. That turbo is bigger than that dude’s head haha.
E36

Since then, they sold the E36 and built themselves a new ride – E46 from hell.

Only thing I’m wondering is – are those monitors in the dash?? Maybe they were at a HIN event trying to blend in.

Crazy Bimmers

Round 1 of King of Europe Drift over at Hungary brought out some unbelievable bimmers.
Check out this white E36. Looks preety much stock, white with some Motorsport style graphics. Oh, hmm.. what’s that on the hood??

That is a 500hp, V8 S62 Motor commonly found in the E39 M5s. And yeah no need for HFM, costume tuned with MAP sensors probably.

Ok so some might say, that motor is too heavy and might offset the weight distribution blah blah blah..
Well here’s another option. Stick with the S50 Motor but mount it further …

BRGangstaaa

I gotta give props to my buddy Paul.
I like the way he fixed up his E36 M3. The car was yellow originally but currently wears the British Racing Green (BRG) paint job commonly found on Euro E36 M3 GT. I love the paint combined with some old school BBS RS, slammed and done right. He even got some GT2 seats to change the interior a bit. Ahh so fresh, so cleannn.

Props to the Goodtimes crew.

BTCC

When I got my car back in ‘95, I started collecting everything I can get my hands on that has anything to do with E36. I frequented “Yaohan” which is a local Japanese book store where I usually will look for any books or even videos. I can’t read Japanese but they seem to have books about anything that you might be into so it was the right spot for my obsession. I got couple of Japanese BTCC VHS amongst other things. I remember just staring at the BTCC BMW …

Widebody E36

It’s rare to see an E36 that can pull off a PTG Style widebody. They usually look awkward with the stance being way off as well as improper wheel offsets (just say no to spacers).
Here’s a good example of a well set up ride from Studie AG in Japan. Nice touch with the Varis hood. Maybe I only like it coz of the GT2 wheels (I’m biased to these wheels and still have yet to see a car that doesn’t look good sporting them). The rear wheels looks like it …
